Alice Gurney Architects (trading as RPA Architects Ltd)

"Alice designed and project managed our new build property on the farm in Oxfordshire. She was absolutely fantastic in taking our ideas and requirements and putting them into drawings. Alice was also excellent during the build, ensuring timelines were met and the budget was adhered to. We will certainly use Alice and RPA again and are grateful for her work on our home!"

"We recently built an extension on our house with the help of Richard and Alice at RPA. I met with a few different architects at the start of the project because our brief was a little complicated and I wanted to make sure I found the right company. After my first meeting with Richard I felt immediately confident that he would provide the type of support and understanding that I needed. He was professional and really listened to what I was saying. The process was very smooth and both Richard and Alice were extremely helpful, patient and understanding. Even through the many phone calls altering and amending the brief! I could not be happier with the work they produced for us and the result is just what we were hoping for. They walked us through the whole process and were completely transparent around fees and managing our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are looking for friendly, professional, understanding and adaptable architects. They really are a great team and I feel very fortunate to have worked with them."

"Richard and the team supported us on the design and all necessary applications relating to our proposed extension. They are patient, client focused and we sailed through the planning process with no problems thanks to their pragmatic and sensible approach. They have deep experience of the local planning concerns and helped us achieve the plans that best suit our needs and budget. Richard was also able to bring on excellent structural engineers to support the project design. It has been a pleasure working with the team, worth every penny of theoney invested. Thank you for all your help and guidance and holding our hands through the process."

"We were recommended RPA by a friend so contacted them regarding a major renovation of a period family house plus two ground floor extensions. We had a complicated layout and various levels on ground floor so we knew we needed experienced and innovative architects who wouldn't shy away from our challenging build. We met three firms and RPA immediately made an excellent impression by listening to our ideas and also coming up with some fabulous innovations we'd not thought of that made they whole layout flow better and yet still provided all the complicated room requirements we had been quite particular about. So impressed with Alice who held our hand all the way through the nerve-wracking planning application and was a constant source of wisdom, no question from me was too much bother (and there were alot) for her as we tweaked the changes to get our perfect house design. Thank you Alice and RPA, we have recommended you to everyone who mentions the words "we're thinking of doing some work to the house" - you couldn't be in better hands."

"We found working with RPA to be an excellent experience from start to finish. The team was attentive, available and flexible with taking on feedback as we went through the drafting stages and in answering our many questions. They were careful not to create a design that would have stretched us beyond our means and guided us to what would add the right amount of ‘wow’ while being sensible about how we wanted to live in the property. We are delighted with the result and would use them again."
