"Richard managed all stages of our extension from design and planning to tendering for builders and contract management. The whole process was very smooth thanks to Richard's clear communication, attention to detail, and the fact that he matched our project with the right builder for our project. Richard is very easy to get on with and he listened to what we wanted which is very important at design stages when lots of ideas are being discussed. We would definitely recommend him!"
"I'm extremely happy with the service received, Richard has gone above and beyond in terms of service and exceeded our expectations. Richard showed genuine enthusiasm for the job even though we brought him a small project. I would say it's evident that his motivations are drawn from what an extension/building means to the client and not to squeeze money from them. Richard was up front about being incredibly busy at the time (which I see as a good thing), yet remained responsive to any messages we sent him. He set realistic expectations surrounding timescales and met all of the commitments within his control."
"We were very happy with our experience of working with Richard throughout our home renovation project. We worked with him over several months from the very early ideas stage, through drawing up plans, applying for planning permission, putting the project out to tender and then throughout the building stage. Richard provided a very professional service throughout, and built up a relationship with us so that he could understand what we needed as a family and what would work best for us. It was reassuring to have him involved at each stage of the building project and to lead us through the different stages. This was particularly important to us as we had never been involved in any big projects like this before and felt a bit lost as to how to move through the different stages. I would recommend Richard for the thorough, reliable and professional job that he did."
"I would strongly recommend MonkHouse Architect. Richard designed a single storey extension (open plan Kitchen) to replace a dilapidated and useless conservatory. From the concept to detailed design stage, Richard captured my requirements and thoughts, leading to the extension being exactly what I dreamed of. When the builders uncovered unexpected drains whilst digging the footings, Richard was quick to come around and come up with solution so only a short delay was incurred waiting for Thames Water approval. Richard dealt with the planning application and even put the works out to tender to several builders he has experience of working with. The detailed plans he produced ensured the quotes would be 'like for like'."
"We highly recommend MonkHouse Architect for any home improvement project. This being our first home renovation and extension, there was a lot of unknown for us but Richard has been extremely supportive, professional and insightful, helped us guide through the process from design, planning, application, to locate a reliable contractor for the build. There was obstacle in our wish to have the whole ground floor into one open area, and use of light coming into from the garden, but Richard came up with some cost effective solution to reach our goals. We are really looking forward to the completion of the build and things might not go as smoothly without the help of MonkHouse Architect."
