"The precision of the work of Tom (Collier) and his team was impressive, both during the erection and taking down of the scaffolding. They were always exceptionally well organised and efficient. And they were a lovely cheerful lot to have around. The scaffolding was primarily designed for roofing work but Tom kindly added two top lifts at no extra charge to allow DIY painting of areas not accessible by ladder. It was so well designed, an 80-year-old using it (seen in one of the photos) felt more secure than when using a ladder!
